The
Industrial Direct Immersion Purifier, Series 8102-DI provides a
simple, efficient means of controlling microbial contamination
in headspace air in storage tanks or carboys. Direct Immersion
purifiers are ideally suited for applications where the stored
liquid is subject to contamination from microorganisms in the
head air, for example, in the storage of liquid sweeteners or
syrups. Direct immersion disinfection is accomplished without
the use of heat or harsh chemicals, without affecting taste,
and without adding irritating or allergenic properties to the
stored liquid.
Series 8102-DI purifiers are ruggedly built. Basic design
consists of a germicidal 254nm UV lamp in a protective pure
fused quarts sleeve and anchored in a machined, stainless
steel head. The purifier, available in three different lengths;
short (18”), medium (40”), long (66”), is suitably sized to fit a
variety of commercial storage tanks and carboys. A remote
120 Vac, 60 HZ plug-in power supply with built-in lamp out
indicator provided electric power to the unit. Operation from
240 Vac, 50 Hz is optional. Optional manual wiper systems
are available for all purifier models. Purifier installation is at
the top of the storage tank or carboy. |
