High Expansion Foam Concentrates - These agents are synthetic based and are suitable for use with low, medium or high expansion foam generating equipment. Normally used at a proportioning rate between 1% and 3%, they are used in contained aircraft hangars, mining operations and ship hold areas where volume fire control is required. Fires involving solid materials as well as flammable liquids can be controlled and extinguished. High expansion foam also has special advantages in dealing with spills of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).
